We met a family when we we're in Auckland who live in Hawkes Bay...we exchanged numbers and said we would ring them when we arrived...we did, and went around to their house for a bbq. Paul and Cris live in a place called Havelock North...which is well known for the Te Mata Peak a gorgeous place where people walk, cycle and paraglide!!!
When we arrived at their house, we we're fed up ( week 2!!) and so they suggested we go to Te Mata Peak as the views and scenery are breathe taking...it was about a 15 journey from their house up VERY steep and windy hills until we reached the top....it was worth every whince!!
We we're still trying to get our bearings around Hawkes Bay, so this was a great chance to see where everything was!!!
Took a couple of pics and saw this mad man jump off the edge with a paraglider ( spelling??)....
