This is our fourth week in New Zealand and we can't get over how friendly people are....we have had four invites for Christmas Day and lots of invites to bbq's....people are just so kind and willing to help. We met up with Sharon and Steve whilst in Hastings and their son Kyle...I have been chatting to Sharon for a while on a forum....we hit it off straight away and they are coming around Christmas Eve for dinner.
Grahams boss and family are extremely kind and considerate also...on the Friday before we moved into the rental his wife put together a basket full of towels, cups, food, wine, glasses...etc etc as she knew we didn't have much to take into our rental...such a thoughtful gesture!!
I had an interview with a recruitment agency on Monday, he offered to come to the house to pick me up and then when the interview was finished...asked us around to his house for Christmas dinner!!!!!
People seem to go out of their way to be nice here .............................
