Baby Shower at work with educarers...
I attended a playgroup a couple of weeks ago at the educarers request!! I had a midwife appointment first so I was running a little late but when I arrived there were blue balloons on all of the gates and everyone was waiting...I didn't have my camera as it was a surprise! When I walked in one of them said 'Welcome to your baby shower!'. I sat down and they had prepared morning tea, and also some games...a tasting test-'Guess the baby food', 'Guess what melted chocolate is in each babies nappy'...and also they all wrote individual notes to Graham and I and/or the baby and guessed the date of arrival and weight. It was a lovely morning, we had a great time. Then at the end they presented me with all of these gifts, I was so overwhelmed, they had gone to so much effort, I couldn't believe how thoughtful and generous everyone had been. It was a great morning!
Only got pics of gifts as didn't have camera for event!!

Grahams Spider Bite...
A few days before our wedding anniversary Graham had been saying that he had been bitten and had pain in his left arm...it started off as two puncture marks and throughout the week had gone very red from his wrist to his elbow and was extremely painful. On our wedding anniversary in the afternoon he decided to go to the doctors. She saw it and said it was a White Tip Spider Bite...and immediately gave him some IV antibiotics, wrote him a prescription and said that he would have to go to the Napier Medical Centre every 12 hours over the weekend to continue the course and that they would evaluate it on Monday Morning. So Saturday AM/PM, Sunday AM/PM and Monday AM we were back and fourth to the medical centre. Graham felt quite 'knocked off' by bite and medication.
We could see an improvement by Sunday and when he went back to the doctors Monday morning they gave him his last IV shot and put him on oral anti biotics for a week! Thank goodness, swelling has now gone as has the pain...so hopefully it is all sorted!

Belly Casting-10th March 2009
Hi all,
Well...I had my belly cast a few weeks ago...can't show most of the pics as they are a tad revealing but here is one that is decent and I am not exposed!! I arranged for a lady to come to the house from a company called 'Precious Memories'...it was only when she got half way down the drive that I realised I would have to strip off!!...Before I knew it I was half naked in the lounge putting vaseline on in preparation for my cast. The process itself was ok, the cast was very cold as it was going on and felt strange and quite heavy as it dried. Graham was taking pics throughout and we were laughing. The lady has taken it away and sands it and treats it and does other 'things' and then she will give us a ring when it is ready. Some women actually use the cast as a cradle to put their baby in when he/she first arrives and some use it as a fruit bowl!!
Can't wait to get it back and hang on bedroom wall!!!!....and depending how Baby Holland behaves showing it off at his 18th!!lol
