Successful Day

Had good news today, purchaser has taken a cheque to the solicitors for the full amount...should be cleared on Friday, and we are on schedule to exchange and complete on Monday the 5th November. Been packing the house up again today ready for Thursday....it looks like a bomb has gone off...starting to feel like it isn't home anymore......

Accomodation in Havelock North

It's approximately six-seven hours to Hawkes Bay from Auckland. We SHOULD be arriving in the Bay on the 24th November 07, and heading straight to the accomodation we have booked ( see link) for 3 weeks, this will give us time to look for a rental in the local area, and give Graham a base and chance to feel settled ( ish) as he starts work on the 3rd December 07.

Intro

Hi all,

Well, under 3 weeks to go and we will be on our way to New Zealand. We will be using this blog to let family and friends know what we are doing and also as a diary for ourselves to keep a log of our adventure! The journey to get there has been a long and winding one as most of you are aware, but finally our dream to explore another part of the world is about to happen. Where do we stand at the moment? Well, the estate agents sign says 'Sold Subject to Contract', after a stressful couple of days we HOPE to complete the house sale on monday, the purchaser is £21,000 short at the minute...but assures us he can get the money over the weekend, so its just a case of keeping our fingers crossed! The shippers are booked to come and pack our worldly belongings on Thursday and Friday-1st and 2nd, this is still booked, but we have until Monday at 12.00pm to let them know if we need to cancel ( due to purchaser pulling out) or we will get a LARGE fine. Graham has already finished work, and I finish on Wednesday 31st at lunchtime.....boo hoo, I will be really upset I have absolutely loved working at SureStart and have made such fab friends...we went out for lunch on Friday and they gave me some NZ Dollars...they are all so thoughtful and generous. I have got work a gift to give them on Wednesday, but won't post details as my work friends will probably read this before Wednesday!!! Lee is back on Wednesday yippeeeeeeee, we are all at mums for Dinner wednesday night to catch up, can't wait. Well, hope we haven't bored you too much yet??? Plan for next week....

* Monday the 5th......HOPEFULLY KEYS WILL CHANGE HANDS FOR HOUSE..when I say change hands, I actually mean we will be handing them over!!!...we won't have any keys...how strange?!?
